Originally Mid Lane Community Chest, Mid Lane Cares was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non profit organization in April of 1970.
The founding members began with food baskets in a garage for a few neighbors in need at the holidays. Over the years, Mid Lane Cares has evolved to serve the 475 square mile area known as Fern Ridge with eight programs. Our programs touch one in four families in our community.
Community Resources
Love Project Food Pantry
This program distributes about 2-3 tons of food monthly to an average of 700 people…
Senior Meals & Programs

Emergency Assistance
Get help with housing emergencies, including utility shut offs, available every Monday and Wednesday by appointment.
Scholarships
The Jim Petty Scholarship Fund provides scholarship assistance to youth in the Fern Ridge area. Including the local Territorial Sports Program (TSP), the Veneta Pool, and the Applegate Art Guild.
S.A.N.T.A. & Silver Tree
Holiday Programs
Through donations, these programs deliver Christmas gifts to children and home bound seniors.
